I was delighted to have Local Government Minister, John Healey MP visiting Brandwood today to see first hand the work that the Brandwood Labour Action volunteers do on yet another graffiti clean up.

The clean up exercise has become a regular feature of Labour’s Action Plan for Brandwood and John and I were today joined by a number of volunteers as well as local Cllr Mike Leddy (Lab, Brandwood) and Labour’s local election candidate in Brandwood Susan Burfoot.

Mr Healey said: ‘I was so pleased to be able to join Mike, Steve, Susan and the other volunteers to see how the Brandwood Action Plan was doing. This is when you know Labour makes a difference when they take matters into their own hands and do something about it.’

Susan Burfoot said ‘I love the way that Labour tackles problems head on and I’m really looking forward to working more with Mike and Steve on delivering action for Brandwood.
