Steve McCabeMP has urged Selly Oak residents to protect themselves against the deadly threat of Carbon Monoxide poisoning. New research from the Carbon Monoxide – Be Alarmed! campaign shows that 68% of households in the West Midlands could be at risk of poisoning by not having an audible Carbon Monoxide alarm. 
 

Awards recognising the contributions of parliamentarians to tackling road casualties were presented by the charity Brake at its annual reception at the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday 19 January 2011, sponsored by Direct Line.

Steve McCabe, MP for Birmingham Selly Oak, received the ‘Community Campaigner’ Award for his determination that all schools in his constituency should be safe for children to get to.

Local MP Steve McCabe has praised the fundraising efforts of staff at his local Sainsbury’s in a store visit on Friday 21st January. Steve was asked to visit to congratulate Jenna Crowe and Becky O’Brien who recently won Sainsbury’s Charity of the Year competition, topping the poll in a contest which was open to over 480 Sainsbury’s store teams.
