Campaign against a new Bournville phone mast has been successful.

Steve has successfully led a campaign to prevent a new phone mast being constructed in Bournville following an influx of complaints from constituents living in the local area. The mast was due to be constructed near to St Joseph’s Primary School and on the edge of the Bournville conservation area.
The report from the Planning Inspectorate highlighted the contributions made by Steve who acted on behalf of local residents after undertaking a survey of their views.  The original decision had been appealed by O2 and Vodafone and was dismissed.
Steve said “This is good news for local people. This decision highlights that it is always worth campaigning for what you believe in. Local people in Bournville banded together and made their views known to the appropriate authorities. In this case local voices made a real difference.”
"The decision is a victory for the residents of Bournville and I would like to thank the local people who took the time to respond to my survey on this issue, ensuring that I could make representations on their behalf”.
