Steve condemns waiting figures increase.

Steve has condemned the Government over figures recently released which show an increase in the numb

The number of NHS patients waiting more than 6 weeks for a diagnostic test across the West Midlands has increased by 324 between May 2010 and July 2011.

The number of patients waiting more than 13 weeks has increased by 77 people over the same period.

Steve said: “These figures reflect very badly on the Conservative-led Government and their attempts to change the NHS.

The fact that these increases have occurred over the past 14 months is a damning indictment of this Conservative-Liberal Democrat Government’s attitude towards the National Health Service and the users of that essential service across West Midlands.

The last Labour Government had a proud record of defending the NHS and improving standards for patients, and it is very disappointing to see these standards slip”
