Grand opening of Kraft’s Global Centre of Excellence for Chocolate Research and Development

Kraft Foods’ Global Centre of Excellence for Chocolate Research and Development opened on Thursday 1
The new Research and Development Centre is bringing 54 new jobs to Bournville, they will work on new products and develop the company’s existing chocolate brands.
 
Research and Development helps drive the growth in a successful business like Kraft. The new Centre of Excellence for Chocolate Research and Development will develop the technology to make different kinds of chocolate products which will then be commercialised across the whole world, making Bournville theglobal hub of chocolate innovation for Kraft.
 
Steve McCabe MP, Birmingham Selly Oak, said:
“I really enjoyed visiting the new Centre, research and development is really important for a company’s future stability and viability and I am so pleased that Kraft has chosen to have the centre in Cadbury’s historic home of Bournville.
 
“Kraft really is working hard to keep the Cadbury’s brand alive and invest in the local area. I met with the Cadbury’s Apprentices and they were really enthusiastic about their future at Kraft and with this new Centre opening they have all the more to look forward to!”
