Steve sings the praises of West Midlands Music Service

Steve attended the Federation of Music Services West Midlands Sing Up Consortium which showcased the
The event celebrated the West Midlands involvement in the national ‘Sing Up’ project which has helped young people develop their singing skills, activity, and enjoyment through training their teachers and singing leaders.
The day started off with a singing workshop with over 40 Primary Schools from all over the West Midlands, including Cotteridge Primary School, led by West Midlands singing leaders.
The evening concert featured a massed choir of young people which was conducted by David Lawrence, one of Britain’s most respected and versatile conductors.
Steve said:
“It was a really enjoyable event, it’s great to see young people engaging with music and showing off their talents.
“It is a testament to the excellent service West Midlands Music Service provides, a service I hope will continue to thrive for many years.
“It is valuable services like these that must be protected from the Governments cuts.”
