Nominate a young person for the British Red Cross Humanitarian Citizen Award

Steve McCabe MP calls on constituents to nominate community-minded young people for the British Red Cross Humanitarian Award.

The award is available to anybody aged 25 or under and celebrates the achievements of young people in one of four categories: first aid, volunteering, community action and fundraising.


Nominations for the award are open until 14th July and can be made online at The award ceremony will be held on 5th October in London. All nominees will receive a certificate recognising their achievement.


Steve McCabe MP said:

“There are some extraordinary young people in my constituency who do fantastic work to help people in the local community.


“Young people often get bad press but it’s important to recognise and celebrate their contributions and achievements. If you know someone who you think would be perfect for the British Red Cross Humanitarian Citizen Award, I would encourage you to nominate them. Let’s celebrate what young people do for our communities.”
