Steve McCabe MP Grilled by Selly Oak School Children

Steve McCabe, Member of Parliament for Birmingham Selly Oak, has taken part in a question and answer session with year 6 children at Raddlebarn School in his Constituency.

More than 30 children took part in the session and grilled Steve for over an hour on what it is like to be a Member of Parliament and act as a representative for more than 75,000 people.

Questions were asked on a wide range of topics: national, international and local and included questions on Syria, feeding the hungry, international aid, taxation, Police Commissioners, unemployment and litter.

Steve McCabe MP said: “It was fantastic to take part in a question and answer event at Raddlebarn School with local children. They asked some tough questions and it was good to see young people who are so informed and interested in politics.

“These young people will go far and its my job and that of other politicians to make sure they get access to the opportunities and jobs they deserve in the years ahead.”
