Steve McCabe MP Opens New Bournville Village Trust Offices

Steve McCabe MP, Member of Parliament for Birmingham, Selly Oak has opened the new offices of Bournville Village Trust at 350 Bournville Lane in his Constituency.

Mr McCabe cut a ribbon to mark the opening of the new offices, in the company of Peter Roach, Chief Executive and Duncan Cadbury, Chair of Trustees at Bournville Village Trust.

The Trust’s Architects, Housing Team, Support Team, Anti Social Behaviour Team and Environmental Officers will now all be housed under one roof. The move heralds the next phase of the trust which now focuses on everything from self build to sheltered housing and has a worldwide reputation for its environmental work and support for the conservation area.

Steve McCabe MP said: “Bournville, and the Village Trust has a rich history and heritage. It was great to be able to mark the historic movement of the Trust’s office to one building at 350 Bournville Lane, and an honour for me in being asked to open the new offices.

“The move brings the Trust family together after many years of being spread across multiple locations on the Bournville estate. From small but noble beginnings the Trust now provides homes for 25,000 people

“I can’t wait for the next developments and I’m particularly excited about the plans for a care and retirement village on the site of the former Bournville College at Bristol Road South.”
