Steve McCabe Congratulates Local Business “Loaf Online” on Fundraising Efforts

Steve McCabe MP, Member of Parliament for Birmingham, Selly Oak has congratulated local Stirchley based bakery Loaf on their work in supporting and raising money for the Oxfam Syria Crisis Appeal.

The Oxfam Syria Crisis Appeal is raising money to help provide access to housing, water and sanitation to the millions of refugees fleeing the violence currently happening in Syria.

Local bakery Loaf baked a one-off Syrian Yoghurt Flatbread to raise money for the Oxfam Syria Crisis Appeal. Loaf is a community supported business with a full time bakery on Stirchley High St. Its owner Tom Baker also offers bread making classes. Loaf is one of the new initiatives breathing fresh life into the Stirchley area

Steve McCabe MP said:

“I'm really pleased Loaf is going from strength to strength. I last visited in February when I had Shadow Business Secretary Chuka Umunna on a visit to see for himself what local businesses and the local community are trying to achieve.

“It's great to see Loaf, as well as supporting the local community, also backing a cause as important as Oxfam's Syria Crisis Appeal”
