£3 million Severn Trent Water sewer improvements in Stirchley progressing well

The sewers in Stirchley have been serving the community for many years but there are parts of the system that need improving.  Severn Trent Water started work in January 2014 on 2 large underground storage tanks in land off Pershore Road and Ripple Road. Work is progressing well and the tanks are almost complete.

The next part of the work, replacing the old sewers with new bigger pipes is about to start. In order for this to be done safely for everyone who lives and works in the area, parts of Cartland Road and Ripple Road will need to be closed, as the pipes are replaced.

For more information on the work you can get regular updates on the following website www.enterprise.plc.uk/qr-cartland-road
