A Chance to Bring ‘Neighbourhood Cinema’ to Selly Oak

To celebrate the launch of its ‘Neighbourhood Cinema’ Project the BFI (British Film Institute) is holding an open competition to give communities the chance to win a complete cinema package for their neighborhood venue, community centre or even local pub. Help will also be on hand from the BFI Neighbourhood Cinema team on setting up the first screening.

BFI ‘Neighbourhood Cinema’ is a new community project designed by the BFI and funded through the National Lottery to support people across the UK in launching and running their own community cinemas. It aims to bring a cinema experience to more people across the UK, particularly those who are unable to enjoy regular film screenings due to social or economic reasons, or simply because they live too far from their nearest cinema.
