King's Norton students quiz Steve in Parliament

Students from King's Norton Boys school took a visit to Parliament last week to learn more about how democracy works in the UK.

The students took a tour of the buildings and then quizzed Steve about his activities as the Member of Parliament for Birmingham Selly Oak.

Steve said:

"I am always very proud to show constituents round what is my place of work from Monday to Thursday. It is important to show young people in particular why we vote and that we are very lucky to live in a country with such a robust political process. The part that MPs play in that process is obviously vital - we represent our constituents and if they don't like what we do, they can kick us out! And that's democracy!"
