Mystery diner set to judge local restaurant for a place in the Tiffin Cup Grand Final

Local restaurant, Dilshad has bagged a place in the Tiffin Cup 2015 Regional Final with an opportunity to win a place in the Grand Final depending on a mystery diner’s experience.

For the 10th year running, MPs have been asked to nominate a restaurant in their constituency as the best South Asian restaurant in the UK. Steve chose Dilshad in Selly Oak as it is a favourite with locals and has a long history in Selly Oak, it first started dishing up delicious curries in 1978.

In the coming weeks a mystery diner will eat at Dilshad and judge the restaurant on food, ambience, d├ęcor and service. The mystery diner will decide whether Dilshad gets through to the Grand Final for a cook-off event held in the House of Commons, as judged by MPs and guest celebrities.

Steve McCabe MP said:

“I am delighted that Dilshad has secured a place in the regional final, definitely well deserved. I hope that the mystery diner will be impressed as the locals are. I am sure everyone in Selly Oak will be rooting for Dilshad to become the Tiffin Cup 2015 champion and I hope that I’ll be welcoming them to the House of Commons very soon.”
