Speaking at Treasury Questions today, Tuesday 29 November, Steve McCabe MP asked the Treasury Minister why half of the money for England announced in the Autumn Statement last week is allocated to projects in London and the South East, despite the fact there will be a £50 million shortfall in NHS funding by 2017 and a huge £130 million shortfall for Social Care by 2020 in Birmingham.

Steve told the House the Chancellor has once again short-changed Birmingham and West Midlands. The Minister denied this was the case but failed to tell MPs what investment the Midlands will receive.
