Steve McCabe, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Children and Families and MP for Birmingham Selly Oak, is backing the NSPCC’s new ‘Share Aware’ campaign which aims to get families talking about staying safe online.

To celebrate the launch of its ‘Neighbourhood Cinema’ Project the BFI (British Film Institute) is holding an open competition to give communities the chance to win a complete cinema package for their neighborhood venue, community centre or even local pub.


The Department for Communities and Local Government announced details of a £1million fund to help local authorities with the costs of seeking a court injunction against those who flout planning laws. Councils can apply for up to £10,000 per case to secure a court injunction.

The Tesco Chief has today told Steve that despite financial difficulties the supermarket will be pressing ahead with the development in Stirchley, bringing much needed investment and jobs to the area.
