Steve McCabe MP is asking his constituents and meeting groups for their views on local libraries and what they mean to them and their community.

Steve McCabe MP, will be marching with Veterans from the Kings Norton Royal British Legion this Sunday to honour those who died in service and continue to serve in the forces.

Steve McCabe MP hosted one of his regular report back events with constituents at Kings Heath Boys School on Saturday 26 October 2013.

Over 30 people attended the event, where Steve talked about the work he has been doing in his constituency, in Parliament and in his new role as Shadow Minister for Children and Families. This was followed by a very lively question and answer session, where a variety of issues were covered, in particular; concerns over energy price hikes, HS2 and homelessness.

Steve McCabe MP is encouraging local secondary school pupils to take part in a nationwide Cyber Security Challenge which is aimed at pupils in Year 9 to get involved in this exciting new initiative.

Steve McCabe MP met with campaigners in Parliament to discuss improving access to exams for private candidates following concerns raised by a constituent.

Following the success of Kings Heath Cricket and Sports Club, who secured £35,000 funding from Sport England, Steve McCabe is urging local sports clubs to make a bid for the Olympic Legacy fund.

Steve McCabe paid a visit to The Challenge Network to find out more about the initiative and what it does for young people in the constituency.

Over 40 people attended the event, where Steve talked about the work he has been doing over the summer period, this was followed by a lively question and answer session. The Report Back covered a range of issues, in particular; concerns over immigration, the NHS, economic policy, youth unemployment and zero-hour contracts.

Steve McCabe and local Bournville campaigner Dee Smyth paid a visit to Stirchley library to donate children’s books and show their support for the Summer Reading Campaign.
